I title this piece : In Which One Tries To Draw and Majorly Fails…Big Time
Had to draw Luke and Arthur (AKA Kid Loki and Thor) from Journey Into Mystery New Mutants Exiled (which is when they forgot they were gods and lived as mortals.) I just loved the character design and the way they acted. But I totally hate this piece so so so sos sososoosososo much !! The brick wall in the background failed me! I couldn’t define the bricks and I tried to give them texture it just didn’t work!!!! Also Thor looks like he may turn into a male stripper at any moment, and start ripping of his clothes and shaking his butt! MY LIFE!!!! ;;-;;
Loki and Thor (c) Marvel
…Is what I think Ikol was trying to say.
British magpie rhymes in Journey into Mystery #622
One for sorrow
Two for joy
Three for a girl
Four for a boy
Five for silver
Six for gold
Seven for a secret never to be told.
One for sorrow
Two for mirth
Three for a funeral
Four for a birth
Five for heaven
Six for hell
Seven’s the Devil his own self
I love how Mr. Gillen mixed two versions of the rhyme. There’s a lot of magpie folklore and symbolism poured into Ikol.
Some things will never be different. Are you hoping for a miracle? It’s not enough.
Hey I just noticed! Loki has a Short sleeve shirt! He usually has the black shirt covering his entire arms. Is it because he is in San Francisco?
Let no one say i stopped drawing shit.
Doug died a child and came back to life an adult (I’m still waiting for an explanation, guys!), Loki died an old coot and came back a child. I love both these characters very much. I’m ridiculously glad the two of them ended up in a (great) shared event, and I’m loving the interaction and character development!
AvX doesn’t hold a candle to Exiled…
I feel like I’m obsessed with a somewhat different Loki than everyone else on Tumblr right now.

The Week after Avengers when the new JIM came out I was all ‘I just want Kid Loki stuff.’ But everyone else was ‘Want Hiddleston!Loki’ so I had to entertain my own damn self.
“Does Loki cry?”
That bit gets me every time.
